The characters
A pack is more than a cast list. Use these profiles as a quick-reference codex: affinities first, then the persona that makes the power dangerous.
Lucian Draco
The Strategist / Azag Sha
A Hexad anomaly possessing eminence in all six elemental classes. He wields shadow blades (manifestations of the Black Dragon) and possesses an intellect that processes battlefield variables like a supercomputer. Highly adept at Life Magic and the ancient art of Scribing.
Hyper-logical and analytical to a fault, he often uses his mind as a filter to suppress overwhelming emotions. He has a habit of rubbing his chin or the back of his neck when deep in thought. He despises being treated like a child, possesses a dry, sarcastic wit, and becomes ruthlessly cold when his pack is threatened.
Anna Jones
The Protector
An S-rank Fire Mage who specializes in close-quarters combat. She shapes her fire eminence into hardened shields and physical weapons like broadswords, pairing destructive magic with elite martial arts.
Quick-tempered, fiercely loyal, and protective. She uses the word freak as her ultimate term of endearment for her teammates. She acts as the emotional anchor and big sister of the group, calling out Lucian's over-complications and Ben's terrible jokes.
Benjamin Franklin Smith
The Joker
A Water Mage whose power fluctuates with his emotional state, manifesting as flowing water when relaxed and deadly, hardened ice when serious or threatened.
Speaks with a thick Cockney accent and relies heavily on British slang. He uses constant humor and terrible jokes as a defense mechanism to deflect tension and hide deep-seated insecurities regarding his worth and power.
Iris Boris
The Alpha
Werewolf royalty with three forms: Andras (human), Liekos (quadrupedal wolf for speed and tracking), and Lycanthrope (a massive bipedal warrior form). She wields absolute Dominance, a telepathic and spiritual weight that can force lesser wolves and even other species into submission.
She struggles with the crushing burden of her lineage and the isolation of leadership. She is deeply empathetic to humans but possesses a terrifying, primal bloodlust when her pack is threatened.
Live Reel
Professor James McClear
The Socratic Guide
A Master Water Mage and guidance counselor at Valiant.
Physically blind, yet sees magically with far more clarity than most. He is an ancient soul who hides immense power behind the facade of a scruffy, tea-brewing elder and constantly strokes his gray beard while formulating his next move.
Madam Mahesa Sah
The Apex Psychic
The Headmistress of Valiant and a peerless Psychic Mage.
Strikingly beautiful and intensely intimidating, she possesses a predatory gaze that unnerves students and faculty alike. She rarely speaks aloud, preferring to project her silky, commanding voice directly into the minds of her audience.
Director Alex Wallace
The Battle Forger
Director of the Battle Mage program.
A hulking, stoic man with a lethal, piercing gaze. He speaks in a strict monotone cadence but possesses a deeply fair and observant core, respecting tactical ingenuity as much as raw magical power.
Baron Black
The Infamous Exile
A legendary Force Mage and Scribe.
A gritty, ruthless combatant with a notoriously dark past. His training methods are brutal and unrelenting, prioritizing survival and unpredictability over traditional magical rules.
Jason Boris
The Anax
The Alpha of all Alphas and reigning king of the werewolf species.
A towering, muscular giant who exudes an unyielding aura of absolute Dominance. He suppresses personal emotions to prioritize the survival and political stability of the worldwide pack.
Kobe Rockwell
The First Beta
Jason's right hand and the premier tracker of the pack.
Grumpy, strict, and demanding of absolute obedience. He holds onto grudges, but his hard exterior hides centuries-long loyalty to the Anax and the pack's legacy.
Bianka
The Savage Mentor
The Second Beta and an elite, ferocious warrior.
She speaks with a heavy accent and employs sadistic, near-lethal training methods to forge weakness into strength. Beneath her terrifying reputation sits a deeply protective affection for Iris.
Emmett Dearil
The Undead Lord
The ancient breeder and Lord of the Vampires.
Unlike traditional vampires who shun light, Emmett's ancient blood allows him to bask in intensely bright rooms. Small in stature but terrifying in speed and strength, he rules with manipulative, sadistic delight.
Harold Dearil
The Aristocrat
Emmett's eldest son and a high-ranking vampire Lord.
Harold dresses in pristine, custom-tailored suits accented with platinum and diamonds. He is heavily political, highly arrogant, and harbors a deep, simmering hatred for mages.
Ross Dearil
The Favorite Son
A newly turned, wildly powerful vampire favored by Emmett.
He masks lethal intent behind a thick Cockney accent and a penchant for crisp white suits. Chaotic and arrogant, he relishes his undead nature while a fractured internal conflict occasionally breaks through his smug facade.
World & lore
The Valiant Mind School of Magic
The premier, hidden academy for the supernatural elite. Unlike traditional mundane schools, Valiant operates on a meritocracy of power and survival. Classes do not have prerequisites; students only advance when a master deems their skills perfected. Graduates often funnel into the Gathering Troop (TGT), the brutal police force of the magical community.
The Heptarchy Council & the factions
The supernatural world is governed from the shadows by the Heptarchy Council—seven anonymous masters representing the core magic elements. The world itself is a tense geopolitical powder keg shared by Mages, Werewolves (governed by the absolute rule of the Anax), Vampires (undead, soulless beings ruled by ancient Lords), and otherworldly entities (Demons, Asgardians, and Deities) who occasionally cross into the mortal plane.
The myth of the Azag Sha (the Dragons)
Long before the gods of myth or the dawn of humanity, ancient cosmic essences known as Dragons ruled the universe. To survive the shifting of eras, these colossal entities bound their power, soul, and mind into dormant artifacts. The Azag Sha is the rare, fated mortal host capable of awakening and wielding this ancient, world-breaking power.
The magic system
The Engine of Consequence
Magic in the Ledgerverse is not a free resource; it is a hard, physical science that demands a toll on the human body.
Eminence, Prestige, & Sway
Eminence is a mage's genetic affinity to an element (Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Psychic, Life). Prestige is the internal energy (the battery or mana) required to fuel the magic. Sway is the measure of a mage's precise control over their output.
The Law of Channeling
Magic is a living energy tied to emotion and imagination. It cannot be safely channeled inside the human body. Attempting to generate elemental magic internally results in catastrophic, irreversible physical damage. Mages must manifest their power externally (e.g., hardening fire into a shield over the skin).
Life Magic (Healing)
True magical healing is not a miracle cure; it is a “Swallow.” The healer uses their own prestige to communicate with the injured person's cells, tricking the body into accelerating its natural healing process. It requires immense energy and time, and cannot easily heal wounds inflicted by ancient or divine magic.
Scribing (LiDievit)
A lost, highly dangerous art utilizing the language of the divine. By carving runes into physical objects (or bone), a mage can create localized gravitational shifts, pocket dimensions, or portal blueprints. However, pouring eminence into a rune without absolute mathematical precision will cause the rune to act as a localized bomb.
